Inverting colors

Another option after making a selection is to invert its colors. Under the hood this shifts the selection one row down, which — because of how mosaic crochet works — produces inverted colors.

Artefacts at the edges

As with vertical flips, inverting can leave some artefacts at the top and bottom edges of the selection. These are easy to correct manually by redrawing or erasing the affected edges.
