Connecting to Ravelry

CromoViewer compatible patterns purchased on Ravelry are automatically available for you to be opened in CromoViewer. All you need to do is synchronize your Cromo Cloud account with Ravelry. Here's how to do that.

Click your account name in the upper right corner and select Sync with Ravelry. Make sure you're logged in to Ravelry first.

Authorizing access

A popup appears stating that cromo_cloud is requesting access to your Ravelry account. Cromo Cloud reads which patterns you've published on Ravelry and which patterns you've purchased — it never updates any Ravelry data. Click Authorize to proceed.

Your Ravelry data

A Cromo Cloud dialog then shows all the retrieved Ravelry data, split into Patterns I designed and Patterns I acquired.

Patterns I designed is covered in the documentation for designers. As a crocheter, you'll want to import Patterns I acquired into Cromo Cloud. To do so, simply click the Add button which appears when you hover a pattern thumbnail.

Hiding irrelevant patterns

You will only be able to add Ravelry patterns to your personal library which are already available on Cromo Cloud. It's up to the designer to decide whether or not to publish them here, but it doesn't harm to ask if it's not (yet) the case. Converting a mosaic crochet pattern to a Cromo Cloud compatible design usually isn't a huge hob. To tidy up your pattern list in the Ravelry sync dialog, hover over any pattern thumbnail which won't become available on Cromo Designer, and click Hide here — this limits the view to relevant patterns.

To undo the filter, tick the Show hidden patterns checkbox.

On touch devices

Instead of hovering, tap the ... menu on the thumbnail to find the Add or Hide here options.
